About Nikki Chu
Nikki Chu is a hardworking, powerful businesswoman in the world of product design and interiors. Born and raised in Toronto, Canada – Nikki has always had a passion to design since childhood. After realizing her love for the Arts, Nikki attended a specialized design school called International Academy of Design.
Having accomplished so much at a young age, and driven to succeed, it was only natural that Nikki embarked into a much more competitive marketplace – Los Angeles. There, her Interior Design and television journey began straight to the top for stars such as Tyra Banks, Nick Cannon, Lisa Leslie and Gabrielle Union.
Since then, the celebrity designer has built and developed her own brand. A home line; consisting of fashion bedding, basic bedding, pillows, rugs, throws, paint, wall art, and decorative accents. She has also had her interiors photographed by InStyle & People magazine, and was called upon to design Sasha and Malia Obama’s “model” White House bedroom for an on-air special with Access Hollywood after the President was elected. Nikki has also appeared on several networks such as; VH1, HGTV, Fine Living, Oxygen, Local New Stations, Lifetime, and E! Entertainment as their go-to expert for design.
Nikki Chu’s design philosophy is to create spaces that are personalized, comfortable, and yet stylish, with touches of glamour. Her interiors are accented by distinctive pieces, eclectic finds with a sense of timeless style. She mixes modern lines with updated and simplified ethnic patterns to create her unique vision.
Her fashion-fused style offers sophisticated designs that represent the best of today’s trends in easy, livable, “go-to” items that effortlessly layer into anyone’s home.
Her growing design company is firmly rooted in interiors and related products. It is a brand that understands home, function and fashion with a MISSION to create “an affordable luxury brand” that combines fashion and lifestyle all in one.
On Unboxed, each week, celebrity designer Nikki Chu helps one fan transform their space from outdated to on point. The twist? The fan must choose between two beautifully designed mystery boxes containing a curated set of “inspiration elements” of a design style such as Old Hollywood Glam or Boho Chic. Once a box is chosen, the rest is left up to Nikki as she transforms their space in just one day! Bringing the series off the screen, aspire.tv will be giving away one curated lifestyle box a week to a lucky viewer.
