Subscription boxes have become all the new rage. With society being as faced paced as it is I believe they provide the perfect ‘excitement’ for a busy woman who may not have the schedule to go out and purchase/try different things. Which is exactly why I chose to subscribe to ipsy. This business was started by Michelle Phan, a YouTube beauty vlogger and is now a multi-million dollar business. For just $10 a month (Yes, this includes shipping), you get a bomb makeup bag and five different beauty items ranging from perfume, hair, and of course make-up. When you sign up, you take a “beauty quiz” to determine your likes/dislikes, makeup preferences, etc. This helps Ipsy learn which products to send in your Glam Bag. Each bag will contain 4-6 full sized and deluxe sample sized products from top cosmetics brands. The more you interact with the site and give back reviews the more “custom-made” your bag will be. So far I have not had any major upsets and will no tbe cancelling my subscription (after all it is only $10/month). Because Roze Gold is a Beauty, Fashion, Business/Lifestyle blog I figured this would be the perfect place to do my reviews on the bags I receive each month. Check back every month to see what’s in my bag and what I think about my new products!

Juliette has a gun perfume
This perfume smells absolutely delicious. Every woman always wants that ‘signature perfume’ smell and this definitely gives off those vibes to me.
City Color – Highlight Trio
These color combos don’t do too much for me. The main key to a highlighter is for it to mach your skin tone. These look a little ‘ashy’ for my skin color. Definitely think I’ll be giving this away.
Tarte Wonder lip Creme
I’m not a big fan of this color or type of lipstick. It gives off an older vibe to me but I do like the fact that this is causing me to explore more of what I normally wouldn’t buy. I haven’t tried it on yet but I definitely think it will make for the perfect date night lippie.
Moroccan Oil Treatment
Here’s the thing. My natural hair is EXTREMELLLYY oily (as is my skin). When straightening my hair I do not put any type of product on it whatsoever because my hair already naturally produces so much oil. So as of now, I don’t have much use for this product. I think it will be great for when I wash my extensions and condition them in ice water for a day. I’ll add a few drops of this product to see if it works any wonders.
Luxie 522 Tapered Highlighter
This is probably my favorite item out of this month’s glam bag. I love a nice quality brush to apply my make-up with and I’m not sure that this is the type of brush I would have purchased if I didn’t get a chance to sample it first.
Overall Review: This bag gets a 3/5 for me. Let’s face it, you’re not going to absolutely love every single product that comes in your glam bag, that’s kind of the point of it all. You get new items that you normally probably would not have tried, and you get to gauge what you do and don’t like. Considering that this bag is only $10/month, I do not see myself cancelling any time soon.
